George Cole is a Designer, Potter and Sculptor in DeSoto, Texas. Upon his retirement from a 40 year practice of Architecture in Dallas, Houston and Philadelphia, he expanded his interests in design to other areas of art. His efforts in clay include one of a kind wheel thrown and hand built forms. His work in metal utilizes welded and forged steel in whimsical, decorative and abstract forms. During his Architectural practice his projects were recognized for design excellence in competitions at the local, state and national level including the 1995 British Construction Supreme Award. The current artwork in clay and metal has been shown in local and state exhibits with 25 award ribbons in the past six years.
